• Happy new 2012

we wish you a happy 2012 and much success with smart tools !

  • Goelan CAM-System

Techsoft in austria exports preps out of customers Goelan.

3D-CAM downloads preps to your profile milling center !

  • docu online available

please call nc-x.com with /doku to have access to our documentation. http://www.nc-x.com/doku

  • Feature Recognition AFR

we developed a new application doing an AFR (automatic feature recognition).

It reads step files and does the identification of features such as holes, slots and pckets which are associated with distinctive manufacturing processes. Result is delivered as .ncw and .dxf
Have a try - send your step file to 3D@elusoft.com !

  • AFR additional application available

    AFR
    # Enhances interoperability and improves process automation
    # Improves productivity with minimal manual intervention
    # Enables automatic recognition of machinable features
    # Allows 3D data re usability throughout product development

what is NC-X doing ? PDF Print E-mail

The NC-X converter is able to do much more than only converting drillings, circle pockets, slots, rectangles and free lines.

  • standard works can be broached
  • converted in cycles or contour lines G1/G2/G3
  • tapping can be done with combined tapping tools, formed or drilled
  • saw cuts and notches are calculated
  • mitred notches are calculated

The same NCWfile can be delivered to different machining centers, supporting 3, 4 or 5 axes. For each target machine a seperate toolfile is used. This tool-file defines whether a tool can be used for operations from top only or from top/front/back which is typical for a 4-axes machining center.

You can define whether you want to have less tool changes or use the biggest available tool diameter for each work.

  • Easily assign attributes for length-measuring, broaching or preferred sense of milling direction.
  • Let the converter assign the tools or force the usage of a specific tool !

DXF Profile contours

The viewer loads profile contours by the name given in the variable BIdentNo.

Example:
:BAR
BIdentNo = ‘B22045’

In this example the viewer will search for the DXF file named “B22045.dxf”.

The following directories are scanned for DXF profile contours:

  • The directory of the NCW file.
  • The profile directory as specified in the settings dialogue.
  • The profile directory can be recursively scanned, if enabled in the settings

The DXF file should satisfy the following needs:

  • The profile contours must consist of closed normal polygons.
  • Lines, text and other DXF objects are ignored.
  • Only DXF text files are supported.
  • If you got display problems try to set the DXF version to R12 or R13
  • The width and height must be the same as specified in the BAR section.
  • The basic profile orientation must correspond to the assumed in the NCW file.
  • Part rotation or mirroring is achieved with the CRotation variable in the CUT definitio
